Migrating existing ASP.NET MVC (v1, 2008) app to MvcTurbine

Is there any prescribed guidance on this?  Do we just have to reference all of the assemblies in the package and then derive our application from MvcTurbineApplication (I forget the exact name, I apologize).

Or are there other steps that need to be taken (modifying the web.config, the project file, etc, etc)?

If this project is subsequently updated to .NET 4.0/MVC 2, then what steps need to be taken,

Also, what are the pitfalls of such an approach?

Hi @casperOne, There's actually two steps on your migration for your project. One is migrating from MVC1 to MVC2, the other is plugging in MVC Turbine. If you open up your project in VS2010, the wizard will automatically upgrade your project to MVC2. From there, all you'll need to do is reference the Turbine assemblies (MvcTurbine.dll, MvcTurbine.Web.dll and the corresponding MvcTurbine.MYIOCOFCHOICE.dll) and derive your application from TurbineApplication. Then you'll need to supply an instance of IServiceLocator for your application to use. That's pretty much it. If you run into any issues, don't hesitate to post back to this forum. Thanks for checking out MvcTurbine!
